A New Zealand man has been sentenced to five years in prison for selling counterfeit Ventolin inhalers to a New Zealand customs office.

The defendant, who was sentenced by Judge Peter C. Stokes, has pleaded not guilty to charges of importing a counterfeit inhaler with intent to sell it.

The defendant has admitted to the sale of the counterfeit inhaler, which he claims is not the product he intended to sell and has been identified on the packaging.
